New book + pre-order campaign!
Hi everyone!
Just a quick note to anyone who may have missed the news over social media, but I have a new book coming out in just over 3 months! Eeeee!
It’s a 4-years-later epilogue to The Medoran Chronicles, which means it’s set after the final book (Vardaesia), and yes, you’ll find out what the characters are doing after they graduate! (And before!)
A few more details:
It’s written in the form of 6 stories across 5 character POVs (Alex gets 2 stories!)
For anyone who read the ebooks of A Very Medoran Kaldoras Part 1 and 2, they’re included at the start of this book - they’re the first 2 stories! (One of those is from Alex’s POV, which means she also has another (very special) story later in the book!)
This is a full-sized book BUT it’s not quite as chonky as my other Medoran books - closer to the size of Whisper, for reference
It will be available as a paperback (same size as the rest of the series to match!), as well as ebook, and I’m just waiting to find out if it’ll be an audiobook as well (more news hopefully soon!)
My intention was for this to be a cute, fluffy, happily-ever-after epilogue, but, as always, these characters surprised me, so this book has everything you’d expect to find from me - action, adventure, danger, tasks and trials, romance, laughter, tears, and above all, friendship.
I’m so excited to share more with you over the coming months! Pre-orders are available NOW by clicking here.
PRE-ORDER CAMPAIGN: If you have an Australian address, feel free to fill in the pre-order form here. The fabulous Ismael González (@gonzais_) has been working on some spectacular artwork for this book (I shared a sneak peek in my last newsletter, but I’ll attach it again below), and 100 lucky people will be chosen at random to receive an A5 art print. All the details you need are included on the form!
For anyone who hasn’t read The Medoran Chronicles and would like to know more about it, or the reading order of the books, click here.
As a very vague elevator pitch:
The Medoran Chronicles is like Harry Potter meets Narnia and X-Men and it follows 16-year-old Alexandra Jennings who finds herself stranded in a fantasy world where she goes to a school for supernaturally gifted teenagers while she searches for a way back home. Throw in some immortal princes, a talking Library, a special kind of “magic,” found family, slow-burn romance, dragons, very strange classes (including combat lessons), and basically all your favourite fantasy elements, and you have a recipe for these books!
Note that this series is YA fantasy, but it has readers as young as 8 years old and as old as 108! (Not even kidding! It truly does span generations, which is amazing!)
I’ll share more about Kaldoras as the info comes to me, but over the next few months I’ll start sharing things like teaser quotes, information on launch events, and how to get signed copies.
One thing I will say is that if you haven’t had a chance to read the novella collection We Three Heroes yet, I’d recommend you try to do that in the next three months, since some of the characters and places are first introduced there! (I’ve tried to write Kaldoras in a way that will still make sense if you haven’t read We Three Heroes, but you may miss out on the full reading experience!)
I can’t wait for you to get this book in your hands!!! CUE ALL THE EXCITEMENT!!
EMBRACE THE WONDER!
