I went to your book launch for The Blood Traitor and got to ask you a question! Well and truly love your books, I cherish my copies, (especially my signed ones) and always give them a read when I’m sad. It’s always nice to focus on Kiva’s suffering rather than my own :D Back to what you mentioned in your newsletter, my Xmas traditions are similar, meet up with family and have a MASSIVE lunch, and play games afterwards. We don’t watch movies though, gotta drive home before night! If you ever do read this, I hope you have an amazing Christmas, and that you’ll benefit from your no-social media month. Chocolate ripple cake is GOAT. Had some recently for my brother’s 18th last month. My mum adds broken peppermint crisps on top of the cream, delicious~
Arthur Christmas and Santa Claus are great Christmas movies but my favourite will always be Polar Express. (Although I really love the Klaus animated movie on Netflix and I highly recommend it if you haven’t seen it yet) Haven’t seen Spirited, mainly because I don’t own apple plus tv but would love to because ✨Ryan Reynolds✨
You mentioned your favourite christmas movies, food and books but what about music/songs? Do you have any favourite christmas songs? (I say this as I have both Frosty the Snowman and it’s Beginning to look a lot like Christmas playing in my head despite it being 2am right now - working in retail during christmas isn’t fun)
I’m so excited for WW and I love both the Aus/NZ and the US/Can covers, I’m tempted to get a copy of both if it’s possible…
I love pretty much every Christmas song (yes, even the ones that get stuck in your head!) though there are def ones I like a smidge less (like Little Drummer Boy), and ones I like more (like Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas). One I've had stuck in my head relentlessly lately (with no clue why) is Holly Jolly Christmas... and one that jumps to mind as a fave and always gives me goosebumps if the high notes are hit well is O Holy Night! <3

Can I ask (on a need to know basis 😅) how long did it take to create that coded message cause it took me an hour and three minutes to decode it so can only imagine how long it took to create. It was worth every minute of suspense decoding the next word so thank you. I hope you enjoy your social media detox and reading time

I know it took so long! But I can now fluently read Kiva’s code
And the commentary after the teaser was like you verbalising exactly what was going through my head - couldn’t stop smiling whilst decoding/reading it
